As someone who grew up in Scotland I am used to changeable weather in the extreme.
Now living in the Bay Area I was tickled by yesterday's weather forecast as I imagined the staff writer on my local newspaper trying to come up with 5 different ways to say essentially the same thing:
Today [Tuesday]: Patchy morning fog, then mostly sunny.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny after areas of morning fog.
Thursday: Patchy morning fog, then plenty of sun.
Friday: Patchy morning fog, and then mostly sunny.
Saturday: Plenty of sunshine after patchy morning fog.
As I said, tickled.
